Six militants killed in Afghanistan


Kabul, Sep 9 (IANS): At least six militants were killed and six others injured Tuesday in two separate incidents in Afghanistan.

In one incident, three militants were killed when a NATO drone fired a missile on a compound in Achin district of Nangarhar province, a security official told Xinhua.

Two militants, including a Taliban local leader named Attiqullah, were injured in the attack, the official said.

In Paktika province, three militants were killed and four others injured when a roadside bomb they were planting along a road in Khir Kot district went off prematurely.
