Arun Jaitley hospitalised for routine check-up

New Delhi, Sep 22 (IANS): Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was admitted to a hospital here for post surgery check-up, a doctor said Monday.

The minister, also in-charge of defence and corporate affairs ministries, underwent a corrective surgery for diabetes Sep 2.

A doctor treating Jaitley said the check-up was routine but since the tests could not be done at home, the minister had to be admitted to the hospital.

"He was admitted to the hospital Sunday night. These are routine check-ups, which are done two weeks after surgery, but were delayed because of the Chinese president's visit," the doctor told IANS.
