Truck mows down three near Gurgaon


Gurgaon, Sep 24 (IANS): Three people were killed and two injured after a truck hit them, police said Wednesday.

Kailash Yadav, Brijesh and Ravinder were mowed down by a speeding truck while they were standing outside a hospital near Sohna on Palwal road, some 30 km from Gurgaon city.

Two other people were also injured in the incident.

Kailash and Brijesh, both around 30 years of age, belonged to Baluda village near Sohna.

"Brijesh was a doctor and his friend Kailash worked in a private company," a senior police officer told IANS.

Ravinder, 27, hailed from Prathala village in Mewat district of Haryana.

The driver of the truck fled, leaving behind the vehicle.

A case under several sections of the Indian Penal Code has been registered at Sohna police station.
