Modi slams NCP-Cong, ignores ex-ally Sena

AURANGABAD, Oct 5 (TOI) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday flagged off the BJP's Maharashtra election campaign from Beed, assailing both the Congress and NCP for "corruption" and urging the people to give the BJP an absolute majority in the state. However, the PM avoided any mention of Shiv Sena, the party's estranged partner of 25 years, during his address in the home turf of late BJP leader Gopinath Munde.

Striking an emotional chord with the crowd, Modi recalled Gopinath Munde, saying he wouldn't have had to come to Maharashtra for campaigning had his ministerial colleague not died in a tragic car accident.

"If you want Munde's dreams to come true, ensure that the BJP comes to power in Maharashtra for the sake of development. If you elect a BJP government, it would be responsible for implementing the Central schemes while offering good governance and administration," Modi said.

Attacking the Congress, the PM said there is no difference between the NCP and Congress. "Though they have opened separate shops, they think alike, they work on the same pattern and their culture is one because they have emanated from a single source. They are not rashtrawadis (nationalist), they are 'Bhrashtacharwadi' (promoters of corruption)," he said.

"You have tolerated the Congress-led government in Maharashtra for 15 years while the same government chose to destroy the state. Now, the time has come for change and we are ready to serve you. I have come to Maharashtra to request people here to give the BJP and its smaller allies a clear mandate. I want to serve Maharashtra from Delhi. So, give a government that will help me serve the state,'' he said.

Modi urged the people in Beed to imagine Munde while casting votes for the BJP nominees. Munde's daughters Pankaja and Preetam are running for Parli assembly and Beed Lok Sabha seats.

In Aurangabad, Modi referred to the tourism potential of the district, home to the world heritage Ajanta and Ellora caves. "After the Taj Mahal, only Aurangabad has the potential to attract large number of tourists from across the world. Efforts are required for improving infrastructure and developing adequate facilities to boost tourism in Aurangabad,'' he said.

The BJP's 14 nominees from Aurangabad and Jalna districts attended the campaign meeting. The PM said Maharashtra was the No. 1 state in the country, but the 15-year Congress rule dragged it down to the 15th place in terms of development, 12th in terms of literacy and 6th in terms of employment opportunities.

Modi referred to the Jan Dhan Yojana, reduction in prices of diesel and petrol and his efforts to reduce the rate of inflation. The PM also said he had talked to the Chinese President during the opening of the road to Kailash Mansarovar. "The Chinese President has agreed, and now even elderly people will be able to visit Kailash Mansarovar by car," he said. He also referred to his recent US visit and said the world has now begun to recognize the strength of the country.

Concluding his speech, the PM asserted the need for both "political and sanitary cleansing" in Aurangabad. He said hygienic environment was essential for tourism and people now need to think who would change the fate of the state.

Modi said he had been to Aurangabad in the past, but by witnessing the response of people he could predict which direction the wind was blowing. Concluding his speech, like he did in Beed, he urged people not to leave any garbage on the ground. "Take along the things like empty water bottles you have brought with you. It's essential for us to maintain cleanliness," he added.

Mr. Modi your ally in Maharashtra(presently divorced!!!) Mr. Udhav Thackeray has told the media reporters in Mumbai yesterday saying that we(my late father Mr. Bal Thackeray)supported them during communal clashes when they were in need of us during their "Bure" din!!! and they BJP deserted us during their "Acche" din!!!

Amit Shah and company may influence some gujarati pockets of "Mumbai City and it's Suburbs" but through out Maharashtra.....Maharashtrians won't budge your Modi Tune!!!.

Let Mr. Modi have some more Election Campaigns if required, people of Maharashtra knows who can give them a stable government!!!.

FEKU is already "EXPOSED" all over India and his lies won't work now unless he fulfills all the tall promises he made against the previous ruling UPA II government and continuing the same old policies of the previous government and trying to take credit for himself and his present government.

    Hi-fi, Wi-Fi, safai: Modi

Extending the message behind the government’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan to his party’s election rallies in Maharashtra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said though this was the age of “Hi-fi and Wi-fi,” equally important was “safai” (cleanliness).

“The current age is of Hi-Fi and Wi-Fi, but also important is safai,” Mr. Modi said in his rally in Mumbai.

Mr. Modi, at the end of each public meeting, in Beed, Aurangabad and Mumbai, Mr. Modi appealed to the people to ensure that they didn’t leave behind any filth or waste.

Mumbai: Call it "Gandhigiri" or a response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cleanliness campaign, Shiv Sena workers today cleaned the Mahalaxmi racecourse ground where he addressed an election rally last evening.

Shiv Sena corporator Arun Dudhwadkar was on his routine morning walk today when he noticed the garbage at the rally ground, party officials said.

Mr Dudhwadkar immediately asked Sena workers to clean the area, they said.

Sena workers arrived with brooms and buckets and cleaned the ground, collecting leftover water bottles and campaign flags and banners.

The 25-year-old BJP-Shiv Sena alliance split 10 days ago amid deadlock over seat-sharing for the October 15 Maharashtra Assembly polls.

State BJP leaders had announced severing of ties between the two parties, blaming Shiv Sena’s "inflexibility" for it.

BJP leaders had said the party would not criticise Sena during the poll campaign.

I sure hope Modiji can turn the viewpoint of Indians for the future by making us the pride of the earth, Till now it has mostly been an empty bag,There have been certain moments of Pride, but still nothing compared to the upbeat pre poll vibe.
I would also look to people in the forum who look like idiots while saying "Italian Italian" all the time, Italians have better cars than us, Better roads, Better Fashion, Better Infrastructure than us and all this in spite of Heavy Corruption
If Modiji can make India like Italy minus the corruption, I think that will be an achievement. Everyone says that Indians are everywhere, in NASA, in top Hospitals, in Best engineering Practices, but that's not true, ask these Persons of Indian Origin if they are Indian and they will say NO, because they prefer their foreign Citizenship,They will get together for Indian parties but they consider themselves non Indian. They will proudly say, I'm a Canadian or I'm an American.
I wish our Prime Minister makes us proud and pray him the best to make Our Indians take pride in saying, "I AM AN INDIAN"

Five questions to Modi and his supporters.

    1. Modi says, with due respect to Sr Takray he will not comment on Shiv Sena = You may therefore hide and extend hidden support on Sena's mis givings if come to power and later you may say this is "Dharma"
(2)Modi criticised NCP / Congi in Haryana and Maharastra on City condition, but Modi forgot that majority of Municipal / corporations are ruled by Sena and BJP combine in Maharastra, and it is their area to look on !!!
    3. Modi says if State Government is also BJP, then he can easily do what is needed to Maharastra, that means he is biased to the state where BJP is not ruled.
    4. As a PM, he should be available at Delhi for many administrative reasons, but he has engaged himself for 18 Public meetings in Maharastra and 13 in Haryana in the coming days, which means as a PM he is active in Party propaganda than working as PM
    5. Modi has potrayed as state image in this election, which is not his area so long as he is holding PM post and central leadership, then under what criteria he can claim state developments under his central leadership

Modi supporters...please answer this.. give your honest comments

You know well about great man/actor Rajani....
Late Nijalingappa's car driver has become central minsiter. There are many more illustrations of these kind....
In politics more than education/speaking good english like you people and Mumbai's Saldanha(not like me)what is required is inclination to serve the people with pure heartr/dedication/no lust for material wealth etc.,All these qualities are having in abundance in Modiji.......Today people are very proud of this great man...you too may be liking him inside but unwilling to demonstratte the feeling because of deep long standing inclination to mafia CCC party!!!

How can any one trust Modiji words.
Better Modiji has to set example Clean and honest image in what he is preaching.

In 2002, after Godra carnage, it was then PM Vajapaee wanted Modiji out of CM of Gujarath. It was late
Bal Tachre Sab and Advaniji saved his chair.

But Advaniji got stabbed by Modiji and now same fete to Shiv Sena. True character is really exposed. Time won't be far away all major industries and contracts will be with few Gujarthees hand.

Is breaking alliance is BJP true face of use and throw attitude. Something surprising & shocking.

Modi questioning about Mumbai & Maharashtra's development but he have to understand that most of the Gujaratis working and doing business in Mumbai. Also Mumbai is popular city in India and the whole world knows it. People will not attract from the fake promise, communal hatreds etc. Chaaiwala started losing everywhere Uttarakhand, Rajastan, Bihar, UP and now same thing will happen in Maharashtra and Hariyana also.
