Karnataka Sangha Kalyan holds Sharannavarathri Durgastami puja

Mumbai, Oct 11: Karnataka Sangha Kalyan held their annual Navarathri Durgastami puja at Brahman Sabha hall at Kalyan Murbad road on Thursday, Oct 2 with gaiety.

The programme was led by Sangha vice president Gopala Hegde. The programme was started by Bhajans by Venkatesh Rao to Sharada deity. Members of the sangha Gopala Hegde, Jayanti Hegde, Vishwanatha Shetty, K S Satisha, Uma Nayak, Asha Nayak, Pushpa Upadyaya, Sowmya Shetty, Sunanda Shetty, Jayanti Poojary, Vasanth Chandrashekar and others sang Bhajans for two hours.

Pooja programmes were held under the leadership of Laxminarayana Samagara. Subrahmanya couple were the participants. The programme got over at 8 pm after Mangalarathi by Sarita Jattayan.

Sarita Nayak, Nutan Hegde and donors for the programme were felicitated by Prasada. T S Upadhyaya, president of the Sangha gave an auspicious message to the devotees.

In the Haladi Kumkuma programme held in the end under the sponsorship of Jayanti Hegde, Hegde couple were felicitated with a shawl. Ahalya Shetty and Ramesh D Shetty were present. Darshana Sonkar, Geetha Poojary, Prashanthi Shetty, Suhas Kulkarni and Malya were felicitated by distributing prasada.
