Kolkata, Oct 11 (IANS): Two men were arrested Saturday for allegedly raping a housewife in West Bengal's Jalpaiguri district, police said.
The 22-year-old victim Friday lodged a complaint with the Dhupguri police station stating that she was drugged and raped by two people, following which the police Saturday arrested the duo.
According to police, one of the accused was having an affair with the victim and lured her to a desolate place with the help of his friend and raped her.
"Medical reports have confirmed sexual intercourse. We have arrested the two people including the prime accused," investigating officer J. C. Biswas said.
