BJP claims support of 138 MLAs in Maharashtra, says will pass floor test

Mumbai, Oct 21 (IBN): The Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday claimed that it has support of 138 MLAs in Maharashtra, including Independents and smaller parties. It has also raised question whether the BJP is leaning towards a minority government in the state.

BJP's election in charge Om Mathur said that in the event of the floor test, the party will have the requisite numbers. The BJP has won 123 out of 288 seats in the state Assembly polls.

Mathur said, "Today we have the support of 138 MLAs. The day we will have to take the floor test, we will have the requisite numbers. The people have shown who is the bigger party. Nobody in the Maharashtra BJP is talking to Shiv Sena. I don't know about central leadership."
The BJP has also approached the lone MNS MLA Sharad Sonawane indicating party's unwillingness to go with former ally and MNS' arch rival Shiv Sena. The MNS though is yet to decide whether to extend support to the BJP.

The NCP, which won 41 seats, has already offered unconditional outside support to the BJP to form government in the state. The Shiv Sena is ready to accept any proposal.

The BJP has, however, left both the NCP and Shiv Sena guessing on the government formation as the decision in the regard will be taken after Diwali.

    Gonsalves,
they were always rogues, ever since Sheikh Abdullah time! they or PDP are similar to DMK/AIADMK.. mauka farosh rajneeti! bin pende ka lota ya thaali ke baingan!... who likes them anyway? not even the people of kashmir! .... Farooq Abdullah thought he will be made "President of India", hence he supported Vajpayee..! BUT HE GOT EGG ON FACE when other progressive muslim ABDUL KALAM was chosen for that jpb and NDA made sure, not any other muslim will occupy that job for next 20 yrs, in rotation system.. hehe, even Hamid ansari lost to Pranab mukherjee in that race, for same reason!.. but Abdullahs knew of parliament attacks, spearatist track of diplomacy.. Afzal guru is still a martyr for him.. they r ready to go with Pakistan, if their CM/leadership is accepted. its need of hour to nullify them! NDTV Journo, is close to Omar and does his hit job in delhi.. so are Suzi roys and Prashant bhsuhans other seccesionist.. in this background, Modi camping there is MORE IMPORTANT!!

If BJP dare to form Govt sans Shiva sena,it could be biggest political blunder of BJP.Neither have clear mandate or near to that.BJP emerged largest political entity followed by SS.Apart from that BJP has no leader in Maha(marathi Manush) other than Gadkeri!!!!Shivasena adamant to it's Dy CM demand and BJP sticking to dictate coalition terms to SS is biggest road block in forming the Govt.Ultimately BJP will yield to Sena's demand and SS may relent for a respectable position.

Under any circumstances BJP need SS help in Maha

    I cite following reasons

1)Ideology of both parties are by and large same

2)SS is local party having wide cadre based workers..

3)If BJP non committal for alliance, the hardcore HINDUTVA will be registered mark of SS.

    4) The success of BJP in Maha is short lived defends on performance of would be govt as NCP will remote control the Govt

    5) If NCP takes it's boot for hang then SS will not support BJP and snap poll is the answer and in the event SS will emerge winner?

6)BJP is not making moves @ this juncture to bargain the positions. My guess under given circumstances(NCP's unconditional support)that SS will not come down less than deputy CM and BJP will not offer Dy CM which could be deterrent point.

No need of SENA or NCP anyways..! Just make sure, few abstain from voting or resign from the seats.. just 10-12 MLAs are required..

with this, there is multifold of benefits.

    1. Sena will get LoP, making congress immaterial.
    2. 2016 UP elections, Sena is a embarrasement for BJP anyways. its better to part away!
    3. Put Sena's out of power for 5 more years, so that they dont do North India bhagao politics
    4. Most importantly, make Dev Fadnavis a the CM, he has Brahmin Father and OBC mother, has come up on his own as an RTI activist, and humble background, and will quell VIDARBHA seperation voices! he is so simple that he still stays in MLA hostel in Mumbai!.. let him stay in VARSHA BUNGALOW for a change.. ahha
    5. Need to show thackeray's "WHO IS THE BOSS" and forget DAMODARDAS- a NARENDRA/DEVENDRA is enough!
6.importantly, PUSH DEVELOPMENT AGENDA like never before, all alone and win people's confidence.. so that even if minority govt crumbles, people will give u more seats next time.. win-win situation..

havign said this, Sena should think of supporting from outside, for its own good! but NO BLACKMAIL, or BARGAIN or BARTER of any kinds!

..Shivsena doesnt look serious or it just cant digest BJP victory..its behaving immaturely out of desperation..as a political party BJP is using its strategy very well, whether it is LS OR Assembly election..BJP tried to take allies along but wanted to capitalise MODI popularity & gain strength..it didnt succumb to bullying allies tactics (SS/INLD), otherwise BJP wouldnt have got this much seat..Congress should have realised this early..just for power it danced to the tune of its allies..while allies grown multifold(SP,BSP,NCP,MUSLIM LEAGUE,RJD etc), Congress looks like a regional party..

bjp and shivsena would have got 220 seats if there was pre poll alliance.

still they got 185 seats seperately.and some seats lost because of confusion of voters like which party to vote bjp or ss.

18 seats wasted due to alloting it to smaller parties which had no base.

There should not be any problem to get the numbers. Out of 122 seats BJP won, 52 were those who jumped from other parties (35 from Congress and NCP)just before the election, who will be taking help from their friends in their original parties under Operation Kamala. We will have a government under BJP with culture of BJP, Congress, NCP and other parties. It's Jai Maharashtra!

@ kuldesh - Indian culture is diverse with more than 200 languages and 100 odd cultures, dozens of religions practiced here. Our nations beauty and strength lies in its diversity and unity.

RSS/BJP's version of India is a fascist and narrow minded one... their vision and ideas of uniformity is no different from that of China's Communist party, Afghanistan's Taliban or ISIl.

My advise to brainless brainwashed RSS/BJP and its followers is do not meddle or fiddle with India's rich culture and heritage lest it may backfire badly.

India is not RSS's ancestral property..rss is around only since 90 year but India and Hinduism has survived and grown over thousands of years.

BJP vote share in this election is less as compared to Lok sabha elections . This shows Modi propaganda tactics are getting less popular , as ''ache din '' is no where to be found , peaple are waking from 'sky high' expectations . The stunning debut of MM ( majlees muslimeen ) will put some hard bargain against BJP , if they join the coalition government . Anybody can guess re election in near future. Golden opportunity for congress to rectify its mistakes and rise like a phoenix.
