Bharat Cooperative Bank opens branch at Virar West

Mumbai, Oct 23: The 56th branch of Bharat cooperative Bank was inaugurated at Punam Kalpavrikshya building in Viratnagar of Virar west in Mumbai, on Tuesday, October 21.

Jaya C Suvarna, the executive president of the bank and also the honorary president of Billava association Mumbai, inaugurated the new branch by cutting the ribbon. Virar Shankar Shetty a renowned social worker and businessman lighted the lamp.

ATM, safe locker and computer services of the bank were inaugurated by advocate Rohini Salian, Lion Shankar K T and Kshithij Hitendra Thakur the local MLA respectively.

"The bank has helped thousands of ordinary people in the past. I also availed a loan from this bank which made me a hotelier. I have seen so many youngsters who obtained help from this bank and became businessmen who otherwise would have remained employees. In the future, the bank should identify the needy and help, especially the people from Maharashtra. The bank is a pride for Tulunadu," said Virar Shankar Shetty.

"We feel that Bharat Bank is our bank. We will always support this bank. We want to see another branch in Virar soon", said Lion Shankar K T.

"Banking is a service sector industry. Honesty is required in this industry to prosper. Bharat bank has won so many awards in Mumbai as well as in Maharashtra. Bharat bank has won 42 major and prestigious awards in the past three and half decades. This year also the bank has scored 96 out of 100 in the Urban Cooperative bank federation Index which is a great achievement," said Jaya Suvarna.

C R Mooli the CEO of the bank, managing director Nithyananda D Kotian, directors Bhaksar M Salian, advocate S B Amin, Rohith M Suvarna, Damodar C Kundar, K B Poojary, Gangadhar J Poojary, Suryakanth J Suvarna, Ashok M Kotian, Jyothi K Suvarna and former directors N M Sanil, social workers Jagadish Ameen Nallasofara, Karunakar Amin Vasai, Jagannath Rai, D C Kundar, Pramod Suvarna, Rithesh Poojary and many customers and well wishers were present on the occasion.
