Mumbai, Nov 1: Model Co-operative Bank Ltd launched its on-site RuPay ATM-cum-debit card at Andheri and Borivli branches. The inaugural function of the card was held at Andheri (East) branch on Thursday October 30.

Chief guest Ivan Saldanha, chief operating officer, BNP Paribas India Solutions Pvt Ltd, graced the occasion. The newly-renovated branch premises and RuPay ATM-cum-debit card were blessed by Fr Charles Vas, director, Sangeet Abhinay Academy.

Chairman Albert W D’ Souza, in his welcome address, appealed to the shareholders, customers, and the public to patronize the RuPay ATM-cum-debit card facility which can be used across 1,80,000 ATMs all over India.

Vice-chairman William Sequeira, directors Philip Pinto, Prem Aranha, Lazarus Menezes, Benedicta Rebello, Sanjay Shinde, Prof A P D’Souza, Paul Nazareth, A C Lobo, Pius Vas, Lawrence D’Souza, Thomas Lobo, and founder chairman John D’ Silva attended the function.

The Bank’s executive team comprising of Francis J A Vaz, general manager and CEO, additional general managers William L D’Souza and Harold M Serrao, received the guests.

Guests included Henry Lobo, chairman of Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, local corporator Winifred D’Souza, Ronald Goveas, director, Skylink Freight Forwarders Pvt Ltd, Mohan Agarwal, proprietor, MCA Constructions, Louis and Janet D’Souza, directors, Excel Exim Pvt Ltd, Jay Mehta, Powerlinkers Solutions, Jude Miranda, director, M/s Neebal Technologies Pvt Ltd, as well as Sethu Selvam and Mehul Jain from Veritas Infratech Solutions Pvt Ltd.

The representatives of technology partners Net-Tech Services India Pvt Ltd. and Infrasoft Solutions, and officials of National Payments Corporation of India, also attended the function. The programme was well-attended by shareholders, customers, and well-wishers. The event was compered by A E Rasquinha, manager, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Harold M Serrao, additional general manager.
