Mumbai: Tulu drama 'Raddet Eredde' staged to raise funds

Mumbai, Nov 09: `Raddet Eredde’ a Tulu drama was staged at Santa Cruz (E), Billava Bavana on November 8 to raise funds for Billawa association Arogya Nidhi.

Speaking on the occasion, Malad Kannada Sangha president Harish N Shetty said, "Health is wealth for mankind. It is the duty of human beings to see that the underprivileged section of society also gets the benefits of health care. Jaya C Suvarna is man with vision and his leadership is a source of strength and inspiration for Billawa association".

Honorary president of the association, Jaya C Suvarna inaugurated the show along with president Nithyananda D Kotian and other guests.
Bharat Bank former chairman, director and Karnataka Rajyotsava winner for the year 2014, Jaya C Suvarna and Leelavati Jaya Suvarna were felicitated during the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Jaya C Suvarna said, "The Karnataka Rajyotsava award is dedicated to all the Kannadigas outside Karnataka. I am able to reach the heights of leadership because of my service in Bharat Bank and Billawa association. This concept of Arogya Nidhi was introduced by former president of Bharat Bank. The idea is going to save many lives”.

Nithyananda D Kotian said, "Life is without health is equal to a big zero. Some may look fit outside but deep within they suffer from various sufferings. Now cost of medicines is very high and it’s hard for a common man to survive. Thus, keeping this in mind, we have organized this event to raise fund for the Arogya Nidhi".

Gangadar J Poojari welcomed the guests. Bavya Poojari conducted the prayer and Dr U Dhananjay Kumar the honorary chief secretary delivered the key note address.

Former president L V Ameen, BJP Dureena, advocate S B Ameen Bharath Cooperative Bank, Damodar C Kundar, Bharat Bank CEO C R Mulky, Kannadiga Pathrakarthara Sangha Maharashtra president Chandrashekar Palethadi, Surendra A Poojary, entrepreneur, Harish G Ameen, Sathishchandra Kotiyan, Dinesh Ameen, Nagesh Kotiyan, Sudir R L Shetty, Rajashekar Kotiyan, Anil Saliyan, Nilesh Poojari Palimar, Prakash Shetty Surathkal, Girish shetty, Shoba Shetty Kadri, Vasnath V Ameen, Sundar Rai Mandar, Aravind Bolar and others were present on the occasion.

The programme was compered by Shri Harish Hejmadi, asst editor of Akshaya pathrika and Sadashiv A Karkera.

H K Nayanadu and Ganesh K Poojari proposed the vote of thanks.

Vice-presidents C T Salian, Chandrashekar S Poojary and Bhaskar M saliyan, honarary treasurer Bhaskar V Bangera, women secretary Shakuntala K Kotiyan, Raja V Saliyan and many others were present.
