Dubai: Rajan-Nagendra to perform at Sangeetha Sagara Sangama

Dubai, Nov 12: Music Lovers Factory, Dubai will be presenting Sandalwood's most popular and renowned musician duo Rajan-Nagendra in Dubai on November 28, 2014. The musical programme 'Sangeetha Sagara Sangama' will be held in Xclusive Clover Hotel, Deira-Dubai from 7 PM to 10.30 PM.

Rajan-Nagendra who have composed numerous exceptional filmy songs in Kannada, Telugu and Tamil languages for more than four decade will be arriving with his son Anantha Kumar who will also perform during this show. There will be many singers from India and Dubai who would entertain the music lovers in UAE with numerous melodies. The show will be anchored by well known 'Rohini'.

Rajan and Nagendra were musicians who were prominent composers of film music in Kannada cinema during the late 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and early 1990s. Rajan, along with his brother Nagendra, created a niche for themselves for nearly four decades. The duo scored music for more than 375 films, over 200 of them in Kannada and the remaining in other languages like Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Tulu, Hindi and Sinhala. They composed innumerable hits, hundreds of melodious tunes in their career spanning four decades. They also hold the record for the longest active musical pair in the industry.

'Naa Ninna Mareyalaare', 'Gandhada Gudi', 'Eradu Kanasu' are some of the huge musical hits of the Kannada screen featured the music of Rajan-Nagendra. Their team was exceptionally good at composing cheerful love duets, although they did come up with a couple of sombre numbers like 'Baadi hoda balliyinda'. Music lovers of UAE will have a chance to hear some of the melodious numbers in this maiden event by the well known musical duo.
