TV should come in seasons: Mona Singh

Mumbai, Nov 17 (IANS): Actress Mona Singh, who is currently busy promoting her next film "Zed Plus", says television shows should come in seasons as watching daily soaps gets boring.

The actress agrees that small screen is growing immensely but according to her, there should be some changes in the format to maintain freshness.

"TV is growing big time now. TV serials are changing and change is necessary. It's good as I have always believed that TV should come in seasons because daily soaps everyday gets boring," she told IANS.

"I mean how much newness can you get in 50 episodes. It looks boring and monotonous so it is important for an actor to take a break and think about a fresh season and comeback. It's a refreshing and a welcoming change," she added.

Mona, who is remembered for her roles in TV shows "Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi" and "Kya Huaa Tera Vaada", is now geared up for the release of her film.

She says the script of the film, directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, forced her to give nod to it.

"The first thing was the script. It was one of the most interesting narrations that I have ever heard. Also Dwivedi sir left the end open and he said he will not reveal the end now and this made me say yes to the script," she said.

"Zed Plus" also features Adil Hussain, Mukesh Tiwari, Sanjay Mishra among others. The film will hit screens Nov 28.
