Sri Samyameendra Swami distributes scholarships at GSB Seva Mandala

Mumbai, Nov 25: Sri Samyameendra Sripada Swami, the junior head of Sri Kashi Math Varanasi, visited Sri Guru Prasad Sabhagraha at Sion East on Saturday November 22. He distributed annual scholarships from Sri Sukratheendra Theertha Swami Education Fund and wished the students well.

“The programme supporting education, has the blessings of Sri Sudhendra Theertha Swami, the head of Kashi Math. Children, who are the future citizens, should follow the virtues of our elders. The parents should support such living. Study coupled with hard work increases wisdom. Students and the parents should not aim for marks or degrees alone. They should become wise after getting knowledge and make life worth living,” said the Swami while blessing the devotees.

Ramanatha Kini, Mandala vice-president, Suresh Bhat, treasurer, Prashanth Puranik, joint secretary, Prashanth Mallya, joint treasurer, Dr Bhujanga Pai, convener, Ganeshotsava Samithi, and G D Rao, joint convener, were present.

President Raghavendra G Bhat welcomed. K S Bhat and V S Bhat led the prayer. Convener Satish Rama Nayak introduced the Swami and compered the programme. Honorary secretary Ramesh Bhandarkar proposed the vote of thanks.
