SRK to romance Mahira in 'Raees', confirms Sidhwani

Mumbai, Dec 16 (IANS): Producer Ritesh Sidhwani Tuesday confirmed that Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, who impressed Indian audiences with her work in popular Pakistani TV show "Humsafar", will be Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's leading lady in "Raees".

Sidhwani took to social networking site Twitter to share the news and wrote: "Our leading lady in #Raees @themahirakhan @iamsrk @rahuldholakia @FarOutAkhtar," Sidhwani posted on Twitter Tuesday.

Earlier, it was being said that Sonam Kapoor would play the female protagonist. However, now all rumours have been put to rest.

To be directed by Rahul Dholakia and co-produced by Farhan Akhtar, "Raees" will see Mahira as Shah Rukh's wife.
