Udupi, Jan 13: Kalabhairava Creations has come up with its third Kannada film ‘MM’. The film produced by Kumbra Raghunath Rai is a romantic thriller movie. The film team has been preparing for its publicity from 18 days. Rai’s earlier Tulu directorial venture ‘Maari Bale’ won him the state award. ‘Shuklambaradaram’ was a Kannada film by him and recently he has directed ‘Kanchilda Baale’.
The film is led by ‘Psycho’ director V Devadatta who has also written the film’s story, dialogues, for his second film venture.
As per the producer’s dream, the film will start its shooting with the blessings of Lord Sri Krishna of Udupi and during the ‘Muhurtha’, the first shot will be initiated with the blessings of Sri Laxmivaratheertha Swami, Shiroor Math.
The film’s first clap will be done by district-in-charge minister Vinaykumar Sorake and first camera movement will be headed by Udupi MLA Pramod Madhwaraj along with Udupi CMC vice-president Amritha Krishnamurthy.
The film’s ‘Muhurtha’ shooting will be on Thursday January 15 and on Friday January 16, the film team will go to Sri Annapoorneshwari Temple, Horanaadu, to seek their blessings.
The grand rehearsal for selecting the lead actors will be soon held at Bengaluru. Nearly 7 boys and 13 girls have been finalized. After the process, the shooting will continue in the month of February. It will take 45 days to complete the shooting.
The film contains five songs and has been recorded with good composition. On August first week, the film will be released. The total budget of this film is Rs 1.25 crore.
Speaking to the media, the director said, “We are very excited about results; it is a romantic thriller story. We are giving first preference to character. The product should speak for itself.”
The film name MM is significant because the lead character is named Mahesh, the female lead name is Madhumita and the apartment they reside in is ‘Mithra Mahal’ and the rest is left to the imagination of the audience.
