Udupi, Jan 14: The new block of Adarsha Hospital was inaugurated here on Wednesday, January 14 by Sri Shivaratri Deshikendra Maha Swamiji of Suttur Veera Simhasana Mahasamsthana Math, Mysore.
G S Chandrashekar, medical director welcomed the gathering and delivered the keynote address.
In his inaugural speech Deshikendra Swamiji said, "The holy land of Lord Sri Krishna will be saved from all sickness. The biggest asset of every human being is health. Success can be achieved only through living a healthy life. Chronic diseases can be prevented through mental stability. But the present atmosphere makes us sick due to pollution."
"These days youth are losing their emotional ties with parents. If a person gives up his ego he will achieve something in life," added the swamiji.
Sri Vishwapriyateertha Swamiji of Admar Math, Udupi said, "Just a smile and a warm welcome from the doctor will cure the disease partially, but patience is also needed, otherwise one will become victim of ill health. Material life and spirituality must go hand in hand."
Msgr Baptist Menezes, vicar general of Udupi diocese blessed the gathering and prayed for the hospital's success. He said, "Whatever status we have in society today, is from our parent’s love and affection. So we need to remember our roots and that milestones we crossed that enabled us to achieve success in life."
Oscar Fernandez, Rajya Sabha MP encouraged the doctors to perform their best in the medical field.
Pramod Madhwaraj, MLA of Udupi, presided over the programme.
Chief guests Vinay Kumar Sorake, district incharge minister, Dr N Vijaya Ballal, administrative trustee of Ambalpadi temple, guests of honour Kota Shrinivas Poojary, MLC, Jayaprakash Hegde, ex-MP, Yuvaraj, president of CMC, former MLAs Raghupati Bhat, U R Sabhapathi, Lalaji R Mendon, Baramegowda, Syndicate Bank, Manipal, G S Siddaramappa, patron of Adarsha Group and others were present.
About the hospital
The Adarsha Multi Speciality Hospital and Neuro Centre is a 200 bedded hospital located in the center of the city, very close to the bus stand.
It stands as a full-fledged health center, with specialized and skilled doctors having vast experience aptly supported by well educated and highly trained nursing staff. Skilled technicians for advanced equipment and the supporting staff are dedicated and friendly.
The hospital was established in the year 2005 and inaugurated by Sri Vibhudeshateertha Swamiji of Admar Math, Udupi.
