Bantwal: Officials raze illegal construction at Nooji village

Bantwal, Jan 15: Officials of revenue department, led by tahsildar of the taluk, Mohammed Issac, demolished partly constructed building including foundation which had come up at Nooji within Manchi village on Wednesday January 14. They were supported by police personnel in the task.

Local residents had complained that a person named Ibrahim, resident of Ira village, was constructing a building illegally. Based on the complaint, the demolition drive was undertaken, tahsildar said.

Rakshit,station house officer of rural police station here, supervised law and order situation at the site. Manchi panchayat development officer, Maya Kumari, revenue inspector, Narayana Poojary, village accountant, Dakshayani, taluk office personnel, and several others were present. It is gathered that no untoward incident occurred during the drive.
