Sullia, Jan 19: In an accident which occurred near Kotyadi in Mulleria in Kasargod district on Sunday January 18, a youth breathed his last, while his father sustained critical injuries and was hospitalized.
The accident occurred after a truck transporting poultry birds hit a motor bike in which the two were travelling. While Narayan Maniyani (50) from Doddapete Sullia, who was riding the motor bike, his son, Sunil (27) was seated behind. The accident occurred at around 9 am near Kotyadi.
The motor bike was moving towards Mulleria from Sullia when it was hit by the poultry truck. It is gathered that the father-son duo was moving to Chenakkodu in Mulleria to visit ancestral house there when the accident occurred at around 9 am. Sunil, who suffered extensive injuries, died on the spot. His father was shifted to hospital in serious condition.
