Dubai, Dec 26 : Eight year old Indian High School and Match point Tennis Academy  student Rikeeta Pereira has been the youngest tennis player to participate at this year's CBSE Internationl Meet.

Now that she has won the GCC level, she has qualified to take part in the annual meet of all Cental Board of Secondary Education affiliated schools in India and the Gulf region to be held in Chennai from Janauary 18-22.

Rikeetha Pereira, daughter of Rudolf and Anita, hailing  From Mangalore, India is bound to be star attraction with her mastery over the game.

She already was a huge draw at the annual CBSE Zonal meet for Gulf country school held in Dubai recently. Playing in the under-14 Tournament, Rikeetha beat all challenges and won the competition, thus earning the place to represent the Gulf Schools at next month's International competition.

The younger of the two children of the Pereira couple, Rikeetha started playing tennis two years back. Always a regular at athletic meets in her school, she took a liking for tennis and started pursuing it in right earnest by joining the Match Point Tennis Academy run by former Indian Davis Cup player and Asian Games gold medalist Zeeshan Ali.

"It's so fun playing tennis. I'd like to be a star like Sania Mirza. Meeting her meant a lot to me," says Rikeetha enthusiastically. She met her idol in March this Year when Mirza took time out from the Dubai Duty Free women's Open and Visited the Match Point Tennis Academy.
