Mangaluru: National Girl Child Day rally held

Mangaluru,Jan 23: Department of Nursing Foundation organized an awareness rally on National Girl Child Day on January 22, 2015. The programme was inaugurated near Father Muller gate at Pump Well.

The chief guest Judith Mascharenhas highlighted the importance of observing this day. Fr Rudolph Ravi D’sa, administrator said that continuing this rally as a movement for coming years. The inaugural programme came to an end by flagging the rally by chief guest.













The rally proceeded from Pump Well to Mak Mall, Kankanady. The students of 1st year BSc nursing and GNM participated in the rally. They also played street play on Mak Mall premises and created awareness on this occasion. Followed by the chief fuest addressed the public regarding the population ratio of girl child and its issues, female foeticide, importance of girl child.

The programme came to an end with vote of thanks.
