Bengaluru, Jan 24: Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) president P Nagaraju has revealed that Baba Ramdev, the famous Yoga Guru who runs Patanjali brand of products has initiated to buy 4000 tonnes of butter from KMF.

As per details, Baba Ramdev had come to Bengaluru on January 11 and was briefed about KMF products. Baba Ramdev had asked the KMF officials to come to Delhi for further talks at his ashram.

The directors of KMF went there this week and have come back with a confirmed order of 4000 tonnes of butter. 2000 tonnes will have to reach Delhi immediately while the balance will be delivered later.

Baba Ramdev has also told the directors that Nandini butter, the product of KMF has medicinal values in it. Patanjali has agreed to buy any amount of butter from KMF.

The order has come at a right time when KMF was finding it hard to stock butter with high rental charges. It has around 5000 tonnes of butter in stock at present. Everyday excess of milk is around 10 lacs litres which can be only used for making milk powder. The present stock of 9000 tones of milk powder is on the higher side. Hence KMF was looking for a better market for its products in northern parts of India.
