Daijiworld Media Network - Sullia (SP)

Sullia, Jan 26: A shop was completely reduced to ashes in a late night fire on Saturday January 24. Short circuit is stated to have caused this fire.

A chicken centre at Gandhinagar here, which is run by a partnership between Muhammed and Hasainar, bore the brunt of the fire. All the things including 300 quintals of chicks, generator, machines, furniture etc in the shop were gutted.

The fire then spread to adjacent rubber shop where one tonne of rubber melted due to fire. Loss in this case has been calculated at one lac rupees. A fabrication shop next to it also caught fire, and many things in that shop were also burnt down.

Fire brigade personnel arrived at the spot and succeeded in extinguishing fire.
