Thackeray 'ignored' at Marathi literary meet- minister

Mumbai, April 6 (PTI): Shiv Sena founder (late) Bal Thackeray was "ignored" at the All India Marathi Literary Meet being held at Ghuman in Punjab, a senior party leader alleged on Sunday.

"There was not even a mention of Balasaheb at the event by any speaker. It seems what he did for Sikhs after (indira) Gandhi's assassination was forgotten," state Transport Minister Diwakar Raote said.

There was also no mention of the hardships being faced by the Marathi-speaking people in the border areas of Karnataka, he said.
