The co-operative society's management has expressed gratefulness to Victor D'Souza (promoter), who has worked hard to collect membership and share capital of the society, Gurkars of 22 wards, Catholic Sabha, and presidents and office bearers of other organizations and institutions. On the occasion of its inaugural, the society also has expressed gratefulness to deputy registrar of co-operative societies, B K Saleem, Janardan B, development officer of co-operative societies and election returning officer at Mangaluru.

Within a matter of just three months, the society has got a membership of 879, and collected over Rs 35 lac as share capital from 2,887 shareholders. The society has been registered under Societies Act, and will continue to function from the first floor of Sacred Heart Church Commercial Complex in Madanthyar town. Indeed, it is a Great news for Madanthyar Parishioners and around. We Madanthyar Parishioners are fortunate enough to have our own Credit Co-Operative Society in our vicinity, where previously all were standing on the line with nationalized bank around, which was taking much of our time.
Madanthyar is absolutely enterprising and most happening place in Belthangady and also Bantwal taluks Madanthyar is having well connected to all the rural places like Pandvara Kallu, Kakke padavu, Ballamanja, Uppinangady, Punjalkatte, Vogga, Rayee, Siddakatte, Nainadu, Venur, Gardadi, Guruyanakere and Nala etc.,

It is a great initiative taken by our present Parish Priest Fr. Lawrence himself and very strong Team of directors led by Mr. Lency Pinto and all. Parish Priests may come and go, but the unity and service must stay with Madanthyar parishioners always. Strong Catholic Community in Madanthyar, and over 2500 individual parishioners spread in the Gulf/Israel region may keep this credit co-operative society vibrant and alive. Even Madanthyar Parishioners have a very strong base in Mumbai, Bangalore, USA, UK, CANADA and spread over all part of the world will support for this cause. SERVICE WITH SMILE must be the main VISION TO SERVE THE SOCIETY and many beneficiary schemes for poor and for the larger society can be taken place. The cooperative society will definitely be a boon to the agriculturists, Entrepreneurs, students and many others earning a living in the vicinity.
We wish you all the best, May God Bless You all and Kudos to Madanthyar Parishioners and keep up your good work. WILFRED TAURO, JANET, VIJETHA & VIVECA, Dubai.

Great news !!! I'm fortunate to have my roots at an enterprising place like Madanthyar.
Indeed a very good move led by the PP Fr. Lawrence himself. Fortunately for Madanthyar - a small hamlet 55km off Mangalore, the Parish Priests posted here, have been very dynamic and have incepted many beneficial schemes for the larger society. The cooperative society will definitely be a boon to the agriculturists, students and many others earning a living in the vicinity.
Kudos and keep up the good work.
