Chennai, Jun 15 (IANS): Actor Nara Rohit, who was seen in Telugu actioner "Asura", will lose weight for his role as a boxer in the yet-untitled Telugu remake of Tamil film "Maan Karate".

"I had put on a lot of weight for 'Asura'. I've started working out to lose most of it for 'Maan Karate' film. Although I don't play a boxer throughout the film, but will appear as one in some crucial scenes," Rohit told IANS.

The remake will be helmed by Kumar Nagendra, and the makers are on the lookout for the heroine.

Besides Rohit, actor Kabir Duhan Singh has been finalised as the baddie. He was last seen in recent Telugu film "Jil".
