Slash says Grohl has spirit of rock 'n' roll

Los Angeles, Jun 17 (IANS): Musician Slash thinks Dave Grohl is "great" for soldiering on with his concert after breaking his leg on stage in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The iconic guitarist took the time, after playing at Download Festival on Sunday, to praise the Foo Fighters frontman and insisted he would have done exactly the same thing if he was injured during a show.

"Isn't that great? Carrying on with a broken leg is the spirit of rock 'n' roll and power to him. I mean that's what I would do," Slash told dailystar.co.uk.

Slash performed all of his hits at Download with Myles Kennedy on vocals.

The guitar god played several Guns N' Roses hits including, "Sweet child of mine" and "Paradise city".
