New Delhi, June 17 (IANS): GMR Airport Developers Limited (GADL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Oman Airport Management Company (OAMC) to provide training and consultancy services, a company statement said on Wednesday.
GADL will extend services in programme management, testing and commissioning of airport systems to develop aeronautical and non-aeronautical revenue streams, the release said.
"Oman Airport Management Company has signed a comprehensive MoU with GADL, aimed at knowledge sharing and skills development for the OAMC staff," said Srinivas Bommidala, business chairman, airports, GMR Group.
According to the MoU, GMR subsidiary GADL will provide on-site support for six months to help OAMC smoothly take over the new terminal at Salalah Airport, the release added.
GADL will help OAMC staff to learn and adopt some of the best practices at GMR-managed airports in Delhi and Hyderabad.
Aviation consultancy is becoming a steady revenue stream for GMR with the completion of four international projects and more in the pipeline, the release added.
The company is also in talks with airports in the Middle East and South East Asia for similar projects. Under its 'asset light asset right strategy', it is offering end-to-end capabilities in the airport space.
