Mangaluru, Jun 22: The Kannur/Karwar-Bengaluru train, which left the city on Saturday night, and was expected to reach Bengaluru on Sunday morning, reached Yeshwantpura at around 2 pm on Sunday. As cracks were observed by gangmen in the tracks near Yedakumeri station in Hassan district, the train was stopped at Subrahmanya Road station for a few hours.

Although compartments from Kannur had arrived at the central station here on time, there was a two-hour wait for compartments from Karwar to reach there. The train, which was to leave Kabaka Puttur railway station at 9.30 pm, therefore left three hours behind schedule.

The train, which reached Subrahmanya Road station at 1.20 pm, was made to wait there as tracks which had developed cracks had to be replaced. After workers from Sakleshpur reached the spot and replaced the tracks, the train left this station at 3.30 am on Sunday, and reached Yeshwantpur at 2 pm on Sunday.
