Mangaluru: Gang intercepts bus, attacks driver

Mangaluru, Jun 22: A complaint was lodged in the police station here on Sunday, alleging that Sayyed Nazeer, who works as driver for a service bus commuting between the city and Moodbidri, was attacked by a gang of six on Sunday June 21.
 
On Sunday, when the bus was bring driven towards Moodbidri, six persons seated on three motor bikes came from behind and intercepted the bus near Kudupu here. The complainantt says that   the gang of strangers expressed impatience  about not not allowing their vehicles to overtake the bus.
 
The driver in question, Sayyed Nazeer, could identify one of his attackers as Chetan, while the others have not been identified. A case stands filed in rural police station here relating to this incident.
