Mangaluru, Jun 23: Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim chaired a review meeting about temple security and gold cataloguing in temple, at DC’s office, here on Tuesday, June 23.

In the meeting, DC Ibrahim discussed about the temples which have catalogued their gold, silver and precious stones. He also assessed the security measures like CCTV and burglar alarm in temples. He also asked the officials to implement 31 points circular from the government which have to be implemented in securing these temples.

Addressing the meeting, DC said, “Grade one and B cataloguing have to be completed by August 15. Register should be kept and should be updated at the end of the year. The register should be available for public. CCTV should be checked every day. Random visits should be done to check the footage to ensure that CCTV was working fine”.

Speaking on the occasion, Tahsildar, AR Prabhakar, said, “50 percent of the points in circular have been implemented in the major temples in the district”.

ADC Sadashiv Prabhu, ASP V S Kumar and office bearers of temple were present during the meeting.
