MLA J R Lobo conducts Jana Samparka Sabhe at Maroli

Mangaluru, June 23: A Jana Samparka Sabhe of various government officials was presided by MLA J R Lobo at Maroli Suryanarayana Temple premises on Tuesday, June 23.

The public meeting was held in the presence of Corporation Mayor,Deputy Mayor, Corporators and officials. The MLA received more than 100 complaints and responded to some of them on the spot.

Some of the petitions were against contaminated drinking water,inadequate drainage system, roads and power cuts. The MLA scrutinized the petitions and asked the officials to take action on them on the spot.








Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that the area is filled with uneven terrain and it is difficult to provide all the basic facilities to the residents. More than one crore rupees are released from MLA's and other funds during the last two years for various works and some of them are in progress. As water flows directly to the area from Thumbe the water gets contaminated. To solve the problem, clean water will be supplied after purification from Padil's GLSR tank during the days to come. The drainage problem will be included in ADB-11 project,
he said.

He issued Pension facilities approval letter to 16 beneficiaries on the occasion.

Acting Tahsildar Jeen Maria Tauro, Mayor Jecintha Vijaya Alfred, Deputy Mayor Purushotham Chitrapur, Corporators Keshav Maroli, Prakash, Pravin Chandra Alva, Asha D' Silva, leaders Vishwas Das,Gopal Poojary, Stephan Maroli, Elizabeth, Balakrishna Kothary, K P Shetty, Giridhar Shetty, Ganesh Shetty, Bhujanga Shetty, Shashiraj
Abbettu, Oswald, T K Sudheer, Arun Coelho and others were present.
