Bantwal: Newly-married woman succumbs to pneumonia

Bantwal, Jun 24: A woman from here, who had married just two weeks back, passed away due to pneumonia on Monday June 22.

This unfortunate victim happens to be Shruti (21), daughter of Lokayya Bangera from Bhandaribettu Mayyarabail in Bantwal Mooda village.

Shruti, who married Raavi from Punjalakatte Madantyar two weeks back, had displayed symptoms of flu a few days ago. She was taken to a nearby clinic, but medicines prescribed there did not have the desired affect. Even after blood test was conducted and change in medicine was advised, her condition did not show improvement. On Saturday, she was brought to her parental home and treated. On Sunday, she was admitted into a private hospital in Mangaluru, where she passed away.

Shruti, second daughter of Lokayya, had completed PU education from the government first grade college in the town last year. Funeral was conducted at the public graveyard at Kaikunje in B Mooda village on Tuesday morning.
