Mangaluru, Jul 6: Shivaprasad Nayak (44), an employee of the city corporation here, breathed his last on the spot after the vehicle he was riding met with a road accident.
Nayak, a resident of Kolya near here, was riding his scooter near his home on national highway 66, when a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation hit his vehicle. The accident occurred on the night of Sunday July 5.
Nayak is survived by mother and wife. It is gathered that he had started from his home in the two-wheeler and had reached the national highway to go towards the city, when a government bus that was moving towards Kerala collided with his vehicle.
