Dry weather to persist in Karnataka

Bengaluru, July 6 (IANS): Dry weather would continue in Karnataka as the south-west monsoon weakened further, an official from the meteorological department said here on Monday.

Rain and thundershowers would, however, occur at isolated places in the state on Monday, the official added.

The Met department advised fishermen against venturing into the sea as strong winds are likely to blow along the coast.

Bengaluru city would experience a partly cloudy sky on Monday, the weather forecast said.

The maximum temperature in the city is likely to hover around 31 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be around 21 degrees Celsius.

On Sunday, Bengaluru recorded a maximum temperature of 31.2 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average while the minimum temperature was a notch above the average at 20.6 degrees Celsius.

No rainfall was recorded on Sunday
