Qatar: Karnataka Sangha celebrates World Environment Day

Qatar, Jul 6: Karnataka Sangha, Qatar, a front line Indian community organization and winner of this year's Qatar government's ministry of environment trophy celebrated World Environment Day by planting several saplings at Al Jassra Readymix, Lusail Plant premises.

A large number of members including ladies and children enthusiastically took part in the event. The newly elected president, H K Madhu welcomed the gathering.

The immediate past president, Deepak shetty in his speech highlighted the theme 'Seven billion dreams, one planet, consume with care'.

Venkata Rao, CEO of Al Jassra Readymix Plant and Imran also spoke on the occassion. Tufail Mateen Khan compered the event while Sandesh Anand proposed the vote of thanks.
