Karkala: Former MLA H Gopal Bhandary's brother commits suicide

Karkala, Jul 8: Sudesh Bhandary (45), a resident of Hutturke near Hebri, ended his life on Tuesday July 7 by jumping into a pond near his house. Sudesh was the younger brother of former MLA of this constituency, H Gopal Bhandary.

Sudesh Bhandary was unmarried. It is gathered that he was suffering from liver-related health complications since long. He had been discharged from the hospital recently after treating him for this nagging problem.

Sundesh Bhandary was not to be seen since Tuesday morning. After his family members began to search for him, his body was found from the pond at Hebri Hutturke.

A case of unnatural death was registered in Hebri police station on the basis of a report filed by Rajesh Bhandary, brother of the deceased.
