Mangaluru, Jul 9: Among two groups of students who fought among themselves within the campus of Vijaya College Mulky, the police have arrested five. They were produced in the court on Wednesday July 8.
Suraj, Tanuj, Sharat, Niaz and Mohit were arrested by the police, wile Gautam, Hajeem, Swali and Hakib are absconding, it is gathered. Both the groups had filed police complaints against each other, and had got admitted into hospitals.
Initially, verbal altercation occurred between Niaz and Mohit, after which friends of the two ganged up against each other. Both groups have been accused of assaulting the other group and posing life threats.
The policemen are confident of arresting the other four persons within a day or two.
