Qatar, Jul 9: In a one sided encounter Hanan easily defeated Engineering supplies by 55 runs to lift the 21st Gulf Incon Metabo Floodlit Trophy 2015.

At the prize distribution ceremony Adnan Mannai, managing director of Gulf Incon could not attend but Srinivasan Vaidyanathan, general manager presided over the function.

Prateek Yadav, business development manager, Metabo Middle East had specially flown from Dubai to grace the occasion. Sajjad Ahmed Khan, senior sales manager, and Tuan Afaham Burah, Metabo field specialist completed the presentation party.

Winning the toss Hanan elected to bat and posted a tall score of 148 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 12 overs. Shakeel was outstanding remaining unbeaten on 24 runs off 8 deliveries with 2 sixes and 2 boundaries while Rauf scored 24 runs off 10 deliveries with 3 sixes and 1 boundary. Parvez was run out for 18 runs with 2 sixes while Lithin was not out on 16 runs with a six and a boundary.

Sudeesh, Mujeeb Jr, Mufiyas, Tom and Anthony took a wicket each.

In reply Engineering Supplies lost wickets regularly to some fine bowling and fielding by Hanan and finally managed to reach only 93 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 12 overs. The only outstanding batsman was Namsheed scoring 40 runs off 23 deliveries with 4 sixes and 1 boundary. Mujeeb was not out on 12 runs.

Hisham took 2 wickets while Khader, Rauf, Parvez, Rahil and Shakeel took a wicket each.

Prizes were distributed to the winners of the quiz which was run over the duration of the tournament.

The prize distribution ceremony was attended by supporters and well wishers. Over 300 prizes were given away to various players in the tournament.

The prize distribution ended with complimentary refreshments and a lucky draw for spectators.
