Mangaluru, Jul 13: Kantapuram A P Aboobacker Musliyar, secretary general of the All India Sunni Jamiyatul Ulema, a highly respected scholar, orator, educationist and social reformer, was accorded a warm welcome at Mangalore International Airport here on Monday July 13.

He arrived at the airport after being appointed as India's representative in 'Rabiyathul Arabiya Lissakhafathil Adabi wal Fikr', consisting of intellectuals, thinkers and authors in 17 Middle East countries.

Ullal Dargah committee president Haji U S Hamza welcomed Musliyar with a shawl on behalf of the Dargah committee.

Dargah chief secretary U T Ilyas, Sayyad Madani Charitable Trust vice-president B G Hanif Haji, treasurer Nazim, Dargah treasurer Mohammed Haji, Al Madina Yatim Khana chairman Shaikhuna Abbas Ustad Manjanady, State Wakf board member Shafi Sadi and businessman Mumtaz Ali were present on the occasion.
