Beltangady, Jul 14: In a road accident involving two motor bikes which occurred at Kudkoli near Siddakatte in the taluk on the night of Sunday July 12, a young motor bike rider lost his life.
Sundar Gowda (22), son of Lokayya Gowda from Kudkoli, who was a labourer involved with husking of areca nut, was killed in this accident. Gowda was going to his residence at Kudkoli from Siddakatte at about 10.30 pm that day in his two-wheeler, when another motor bike which came from opposite direction hit him. Sundar, who sustained grave injuries in this accident, was taken to the government hospital at Bantwal immediately. But he was declared brought dead on arrival there.
The other motor bike rider, Prashant from Kukkipady, miraculously survived without any injuries.
