Dharwad, Jul 14: A team of criminal investigation department (CID) headed by deputy superintendent of police, Purushotham, visited Hubballi on Monday July 13 and collected information. The team has been visiting different places and gathering information relating to the allegation of rape made by a former Ramkatha singer of Ramachandrapur Math, Hosanagar against its spiritual head, Raghaveshwara Bharathi Swamiji.

The complainant had performed Ramkatha at Gokul Garden in the city during May 2013. She had stated that she had stayed in a house in Shaktinagar on Gokul Road in the city for five days during this visit. In her complaint, she had said that the Swamiji also had stayed in that house with her.

The CID team interrogated owner of the said house and organizers of that Ramkatha programme on the issue.

Speaking to media persons later, the complainant, who is accompanying the investigating team, opined that the CID investigation is progressing slowly, but added that she is confident of getting justice out of this investigation. She alleged that pressure is being brought on the concerned on behalf of Ramachandrapur Math to delay the investigation.
