Belthangady: Child falls down JCB - breathes its last

Belthangady, Jul 16: A six-year-old child, which was playing after going up a parked JCB, slipped and got killed. This incident occurred at Janata Colony near Muddadi government school near Venoor in the taluk on Wednesday July 15.

The work of clearing mud has been on in this colony. The JCB operator had parked his vehicle and gone away for rest, when a six-year-old child of Rajesh from the colony boarded the JCB to play. It slipped from a considerable height and fell down to the ground, suffering critical injures.

The locals rushed the child to a private hospital in the town. Later, it was taken to a hospital in Mangaluru, but its life could not be saved.

Venoor police have registered a case and are investigating.
