Cueist Varsha beaten in semis


Bucharest, July 27 (IANS): Varsha Sanjeev of India went down 0-4 to Thailand's Siripaporn Nuanthakhamjam in the World Under-21 Snooker Championship which concluded here.

The 16-year-old Nuanthakhamjam went on to win the title defeating fellow Thai Nutcharat Wongharuthai, 15, 5-2 in the final on Sunday.

The men's title also went to Thailand as Boonyarit Keattikun overcame Jamie Clarke of Wales 8-7 in the final with a high break of 104 in the first frame.
