Mangaluru, Aug 6: After two Honda Activa scooters collided with each other at Padil near Bajpe near here on Wednesday August 5 morning, one of the riders was killed on the spot.
The unfortunate victim of this accident was Gangadhar Gowda (45) from Kattalsar near Bajpe. He was a farmer. He had brought his two school-going children from home in his scooter, and was going back after dropping them off at Bhatrakere bus stand, when a scooter which came from the opposite direction hit him.
Both the scooter riders were tossed out of the road in this accident. Gangadhar, whose nature of injuries was grave, breathed his last on the spot. The rider of the other scooter was hospitalized. He too suffered serious injuries.
A case was registered in Bajpe police station and investigation has been taken up.
