Dubai, Aug 10: Sandhya Creations' second venture 'Dhand' will be releasing in the UAE on September 4 at Al Hamra Cinema, Rolla, Sharjah, informed producer Shodhan Prasad during the ticket launch ceremony held at Quick Bite Restaurant, Deira - Muteena here on Saturday August 8.
Chandra Vasanth, TV actress from Mumbai, Dinesh Devadiga, president of KADAM, Abdul Razak of Bearys Cultural Forum, Ravi B Shettigar, president of Padmashaali UAE, Ajmal Sheikh, convenor of Nama Tuluveru UAE, and Sandesh Jain, president of Jain Milan UAE lighted the traditional lamp and inaugurated the function. They jointly released the premier show tickets which were later distributed to the public. James Mendonca of Mangalore Konkans, Prashant Acharya, president of Vishwakarma Seva Samiti, Purshotam Salian and many guests graced the function.
All the guests on the dais spoke about the movie, expressing their eagerness to watch it and also blessed Sandhya Creations for producing such a wonderful movie after 'Nirel', the first international Tulu Movie. Chandra Vasanth who had watched the movie in Mumbai shared her views and told the audience that she would like to watch it again and again.
'Dhand' Tulu movie has been carefully, beautifully and digitally created without compromising on the quality, line and length with a mass social message to women folk. The movie is making waves as it has been appreciated by all those who have watched wherever it has been released. With story, script and direction by 'Nirel' fame Ranjith Bajpe, it has soulful background music and songs composed by music director Abhishek S N and lyrics by Loku Kudla, Rajneesh Amin and U Y Ravichandran Sonandoor. Arjun Kapikad, Sandeep Shetty, Anoop Sagar along with Deepak Paladka, Shilpa Suvarna, Nidhi Maroli and Anvitha Sagar are in the lead roles supported by Gopinath Bhat, Umesh Mijar, Ranjan Boloor and Sudhakar Kudroli who is also the executive producer of ''Dhand''.
A video clipping of 'Dhand'’s Mangaluru release was shown to the public prior to the inauguration and later Shodhan Prasad introduced writer director Ranjith Bajpe, actor Anoop Sagar, lead comedian Deepak Paladka and lyricist Ravichandran Sonandoor while briefing about the success of 'Dhand' in Mangaluru, Mumbai and Australia. He also mentioned that 'Dhand' will soon be released in London and Germany, becoming the first-ever Tulu movie release in these foreign countries including Australia's Melbourne and Perth. He added that more shows are being organized in various places of Maharashtra in the coming days and the movie will also be released in Gujarat and other parts of India. At the same time 'Dhand' will also be released in all GCC countries very soon.
