Hyderabad, Aug 22: It is a double celebration for megastar Chiranjeevi, who turned 70 on Friday, August 22, as fans were treated to a spectacular glimpse of his much-anticipated fantasy action-drama Vishwambhara.
The special clip, titled the “Vishwambhara Mega Blast Glimpse”, was unveiled by the makers to mark the iconic actor’s birthday. Showcasing Chiranjeevi in a grand, larger-than-life avatar, the teaser promises a visually rich spectacle filled with high-octane action and fantasy elements.

Alongside Chiranjeevi, the film stars Trisha Krishnan, Kunal Kapoor, and Ashika Ranganath in key roles. With extensive use of visual effects and an epic backdrop, the makers hinted at the film’s grandeur, calling it “MEGA MASS BEYOND the UNIVERSE.”
Sharing the video on social media platform X, the production team posted:
“His MASS and AURA will takeover the universe. #MegaBlastGlimpse from #Vishwambhara out now. Happy Birthday MEGASTAR Chiranjeevi. #Vishwambhara in cinemas Summer 2026.”
Fans’ Frenzy
The glimpse sent fans into a frenzy online. One admirer wrote, “Chiranjeevi Annaya garu is real Kohinoor diamond to India. HBD Annaya garu.” Another added, “The visuals, BGM, and Chiru garu = Vishwambhara perfection.”
Release Postponed to 2026
Initially expected to release in 2025, the video also confirmed that the film’s theatrical release has been postponed to Summer 2026. According to reports, the second half of the movie is heavily dependent on VFX, and the team is taking additional time to ensure world-class output.
Directed by Vassishta, Vishwambhara is touted as a Telugu-language fantasy actioner headlined by Chiranjeevi in a commanding role. The technical crew includes MM Keeravani as music composer, Chota K Naidu as cinematographer, and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao with Santhosh Kamireddy handling editing.
While the delay may test fans’ patience, the birthday glimpse has reassured audiences that the project is shaping up into a massive cinematic spectacle. For now, the megastar’s milestone birthday celebrations have gifted his admirers a tantalising preview of what is to come.
