Mumbai, Aug 22: Superstar Rajinikanth and Bollywood’s Amitabh Bachchan are two towering legends of Indian cinema, adored by millions across generations. While Rajinikanth continues to rule hearts with his unique style and unmatched charisma, Amitabh Bachchan remains the ‘Shahenshah’ of Hindi cinema, known for his powerful performances and iconic voice.

Both actors, who have shared screen space in classics like Andhaa Kaanoon, Hum, Geraftaar and more recently Vettaiyan, enjoy a fan following that transcends regions and languages.

In an old interview with DNA, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who worked alongside Rajinikanth in the 2010 blockbuster Robot, drew a striking parallel between the two icons.

“Rajini sir, like Pa (Amitabh Bachchan), is a professional and humility personified. There was no age factor. They are both legendary actors due to their body of work. Hence, their cinema becomes exciting to the viewers. Rajini sir's humility is a lesson to learn,” Aishwarya said, underlining her deep admiration for both men.

Her words highlighted not only their unmatched contribution to cinema but also their humility, which has earned them enduring respect.

Rajinikanth, who recently returned to the big screen with Coolie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is also gearing up for Jailer 2 with Nelson Dilipkumar.

On the other hand, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in Vettaiyan (2024) and has an impressive lineup ahead, including Section 84, the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD, and Brahmastra Part 2: Dev. He continues to win hearts as the host of Kaun Banega Crorepati.

As for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, she was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan: II (2023), with fans eagerly awaiting her next announcement.
