Mangaluru, Aug 11: 'Gadyant Ek Dees', a programme of sports competitions in slushy agricultural field, was organized by Kirem unit of Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) in a field located near Our Lady of Remedies Church, Kirem near Kinnigoli on Sunday August 9.

Priest of Kirem Church, Fr Victor D'Mello, speaking after inaugurating the programme, said that Kirem Church gets credit for organizing sports in slushy field for the first time in the history of Christian community. He praised ICYM for organizing this tournament by inviting teams from about eight churches within Mulky revenue division.

He added that programmes like these bring people of the community from different places together, and provide them with an opportunity to unite and cement the bond based on love and trust between each oher. He wished that such programmes will continue to be held in a nice manner even in future.

Kinnigoly gram panchayat member, Santan D'Souza, Anita, Maxim Pinto of church parish council, and several others were present.
