Mangaluru: KPL T20 2015 to begin from September 2

Mangaluru, Aug 10: Mangaluru north MLA and owner of Mangalore united team, Moideen Bava conducted a press meet here at woodland on Monday, August 10 and informed that KPL T20 will begin from September 2.

Further speaking, he said, “Karnataka Premier League (KPL) 2015 Twenty20 tournament will commence on September 2 with the defending champions Mysuru Warriors facing new entrants Namma Shivamogga in Hubballi. The first match will be between Mangalore united and Namma Shivamogga in flood light at 6 pm. Udit Patel, Karun Nayak, Rohan Kadam, K C Avinash, C C Basheer and other team members of our team are practicing in Bengaluru”.

“We will be conducting a talent hunt and in this regard a match will be organised at KREC grounds on August 16 and 17. Four matches will be conducted and 12 players will be chosen and these 12 members will be taken to Bengaluru. Matches will be conducted between the main team and these 12 and best of 2 will be added to the team. Applications are invited to take part in the match. The applications can be given to my MCC office or Dr Bhaskar's clinic in Kuloor".

“Matches will be held from September 2 to 17 and free pass will be given to cricket lovers of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kodagu districts by Mangaluru united team. Official launch of team will be done at Forum mall before 25th of this month”.

Dr Bhaskar, Suhail and Shreedar were present at the press meet.
