Kundapur: Carcass of huge whale found at Gangolli seashore

Kundapur, Aug 14: The carcass of a huge whale was found deposited on the seashore near Belikeri, Gangolli port in the taluk on Thursday August 13.

The remains of the whale, measuring about 12 feet long and six feet wide, were found to have been decomposed. Decomposed remains of another animal were also found by the side of this carcass, but it could not be properly identified.

Remains of dead cattle and pig were also found at the seashore near the estuary at Gangolli port on Thursday evening. It is suspected that these animals would have died after they entered water.
